Source – The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) – An agreement has been reached on a European Regulation on medicines for children. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Department of Health (DH) have welcomed this agreement.
The regulation recognises the need for a regulatory approach which includes both incentives and requirements to ensure that new
medicines for children are developed and medicines already on the market meet the specific needs of children.
It is expected that the regulation will become law before the end of 2006.
